Vocalist Mike Clark died at age 64 in England. Mike was the singer behind a whole truckload of hits by the British Invasion band The Dave Clark 5 (he also played keyboards and is shown at far left in the pic). Mike had been in poor health, having been paralyzed in a fall in 2003. The DC5's first major hit, "Glad All Over", knocked "I Want to Hold Your Hand" by The Beatles out of the #1 song slot in 1964. Mike was due to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next week along with his mates...

And finally, legendary drummer Buddy Miles, who played with Jimi Hendrix' Band of Gypsys and later teamed with Carlos Santana for an unforgettable live show inside a Hawaiian volcanic crater, died of congestive heart failure at age 60 after having been in poor health for many years. A few years back he toured with Junior Brown, and usually had to be assisted to the stage. Buddy also had another claim to fame many don't know about-he was one of the original California Raisins!
