When It Rains, It Pours.

Snow Ranger sez:

"Tuckerman Ravine and Huntington Ravine have LOW avalanche danger today. Natural avalanches are very unlikely and human triggered avalanches are unlikely except in isolated pockets. Normal caution is advised.

After a day off yesterday, winter has returned to the mountains, rested and full of energy. Summit temperatures have dropped 36 degrees F from yesterday's high temperature of 40 F (5 C) and are expected to hover around 0 F (-18 C) for the rest of today. Winds will add to the excitement with forecasted speeds of 90 to 110 mph (144 to 177 kph) out of the west."
