1983 - The original lineup of MANFRED MANN reunited for a concert in London.

1983 - Blues legend MUDDY WATERS died at age 68.

1980 - The film McVicar, starring ROGER DALTREY and ADAM FAITH, with songs written by PETE TOWNSHEND, premiered.

1979 - The number one song was "Reunited" by PEACHES & HERB. Herb's last name was FEEMSTER.

1976 - KEITH MOON paid nine cab drivers to block off both ends of a New York City street so he could throw the contents of his hotel room out of the window.

1966 - THE YOUNG RASCALS had the number one song with "Good Lovin'." It was a cover version of the hit by THE OLYMPICS from the year before.

1965 - THE KINKS began their first tour of the U.K.

1957 - ELVIS recorded "Jailhouse Rock."
