Friday is South African trumpeter par excellence Hugh Masekela's 69th birthday. I've gotten Hugh's autographs many times over the years, but the last one I got is my favorite, when he signed my copy of his book in 2004. Obviously he got an "A" in penmanship in school! Happy birthday, Hughie!
