Lester and Chester!

Les Paul is widely credited with inventing the electric guitar, and Chester Atkins helped make electric guitar popular in in the country music world.

Of course, as the title of this blog suggests, such electric guitar maniacs as Junior Barnard (whose guitar solo this blog is named for) had already played their role.

"Chester and Lester" made two albums in the mid 1970s. Both are well worth seeking out.

Here's a tune they did on the second album, "Guitar Monsters". It's mostly Lester, with Chester strolling in like a violinist in an Italian restaurant...
