A Mighty Wind

75 years ago on April 12, the world's highest wind speed was recorded 46 miles to the north of Saddle Hill on top of Mt. Washington.

Here's the story of the 3 men who witnessed the 231 MPH blast. One was Wendy Stephenson Senior, whose son (also named Wendell) taught many of us at New Hampton School in the 1960s and 1970s.
