Frightful!

Statement as of 4:36 PM EST on December 21, 2008

Snow will fall at rates of one to two inches per hour this evening with thunder snow possible... Snow will continue to be heavy through the late evening hours across western Maine and much of New Hampshire.

Expect snowfall rates to be one to two inches per hour at times... reducing the visibility to near zero. There will be blowing and drifting of the snow as winds gust as high as 35 mph. Thunder snow is also possible through 8 PM... mainly near the coastline.

Avoid all travel tonight.
