Happy 98th birthday to Connecticut guitarist and recording engineer Jim Chapdelaine, who regularly plays with former NRBQ guitar-man Big Al Anderson. His other semi-regular gig is with the reconstituted Pousette-Dart Band. He's also won 4 Emmy Awards for his soundtrack work for PBS.
Chap is a regular breath of fresh air on the NRBQ e-mail list as well. He checked in this morning with his usual wit to thank everyone for the b-day greetings:
"Please tell me i don't have to share it with Steve Vai!"
