Hamlin Park above Lake Wicwas, June 9 2009
The immediate shoreline on this section of the lake was developed starting in 1960 or so, but since there were only so many lots available there thankfully are only 15 or so houses there.
My maternal grandmother's brother bought the very first lot here, and it's still in the family. Later on, my mother and her brother paid a piddling amount to buy the second smallest island in the lake. It's still in the family as well.
The ridge shown above is accessed via the trail shown when you click the post title. "Hamlin Park" comprises hundreds of acres above and behind the homes, and is now abutted by the "Eames Conservation Area", which is accessed thru Hamlin.
