Hawaiian Air Starts Flights From Oakland

"Travelers on Hawaiian Airlines' inaugural flight between Oakland International Airport and Honolulu International Airport were treated to live music and hula before boarding the plane that left Oakland at 9 a.m. today, according to the company.

Hawaiian is launching the daily flights in response to the closures in late March and early April of Aloha and ATA airlines. Flights leave Oakland at 9 a.m. and the Honolulu flight will depart at 1:30 p.m."
