I took this shot of the harbor Gilligan, et al, sailed out of almost 40 years later, in April 2003. This is in fact in downtown Honolulu, about 1/2 a mile from the Pier 4 US Coast Guard Base, where Pop worked. I have a couple of classic photos of that which I will do some other time.
Strangely enough, this harbor was used for both the original pilot episode and then the real show which was filmed months later.
